Founded in 1995, Lombeta Secondary School has been at the forefront of providing quality secondary education in Tanzania. Located in the beautiful Kilimanjaro region, our school combines academic excellence with character building to prepare students for success in life.

Our History & Journey

A timeline of growth, achievement, and educational excellence

1995

School Foundation

Lombeta Secondary School was established with just 2 classrooms and 45 students. The school began its journey with a vision to provide quality education in the Kilimanjaro region.

2001

First Graduating Class

Our first Form IV class graduated with impressive results, achieving a 78% pass rate in the national examinations, setting a high standard for future classes.

2008

Expansion & Modernization

Major expansion project completed with new science laboratories, library, and computer center. Student population grew to over 500 students.

2015

20th Anniversary

Celebrated 20 years of educational excellence. Recognized by the Ministry of Education as one of the top-performing schools in the region.

2023

Current Status

Now serving over 800 students with modern facilities, WiFi campus, and consistent 95%+ pass rate in national examinations.
